ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Last updated February 22, 2026

This Statement Applies To
This accessibility statement applies to the website located at https://www.kalderra.org, operated by Kalderra, a nonprofit initiative promoting a cultural arts district in Healdsburg, California, fiscally sponsored by Design Bay Area (a 501(c)(3) organization).

Our Commitment
Kalderra is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our mission, events, and community. We are continually working to improve the user experience for all visitors and to apply relevant accessibility standards across our website.

Conformance Status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the current accepted legal standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Our current conformance status is: Partially Compliant.

This means that some areas of the website do not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are actively working to address known limitations as described below.

We conducted our most recent accessibility evaluation in February 2026 using automated tools and manual review.

Accessibility Features
Our website is designed so that you should be able to:

  • Change colors, contrast levels, and fonts using your browser or operating system accessibility settings

  • Zoom in up to 200% without loss of information or functionality

  • Navigate the entire website using only a keyboard

  • Listen to the website using a screen reader

  • Request accessible formats of any content by emailing info@kalderra.org

Non-Accessible Content
Below is a description of known limitations we are working to address. We are actively working to resolve these issues as part of an ongoing plan to improve accessibility.

Title: Image alternative text
Details: Some images on the website may not yet include descriptive alternative text (alt text), which may make them inaccessible to visitors using screen readers. We are reviewing all images and adding appropriate descriptions.

Title: Color contrast
Details: Some text and background color combinations on the website may not fully meet the WCAG 2.2 Level AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1. We are reviewing our color palette and making adjustments as needed.

Title: Link descriptions
Details: Some links may use generic text rather than descriptive text that clearly explains the link destination, which can create confusion for screen reader users. We are updating link text throughout the site to be more descriptive.

Title: Form field labels
Details: Form fields on the website may not all include clearly associated text labels recognizable by assistive technologies. We are working to ensure all form inputs are properly labeled.

Title: Third-party content
Details: Some content and functionality on this website is provided by third-party platforms, including Wix (our website platform) and Design Bay Area (our fiscal sponsor's donation processor). We cannot guarantee full accessibility compliance for third-party components and are not responsible for their accessibility status.

We will update this statement when limitations are resolved rather than committing to specific fix dates.
