About Us

Kalderra is a non-profit organization founded in the fall of 2025 to support the establishment of a Cultural Arts District in Healdsburg.

While working toward a 501(c)3 designation, and meeting the state requirement for HCAD, Kalderra operates as a project under our fiscal sponsor, Design Bay Area.

OUR MISSION

​

Kalderra's mission is to establish a community centered cultural arts district in Healdsburg that offers rich, vibrant, inclusive opportunities for everyone to experience our heritage, creativity, connectivity, culture and joy. We will celebrate, sustain, and expand Healdsburg's cultural life by empowering local artists, fostering inclusive arts experiences, and building partnerships for community and economic vitality.

OUR PURPOSE

  • ​To ensure that Healdsburg achieves official recognition as a California Cultural Arts District.

  • To assist the city and the community to implement the goals of the arts and culture master plan.

  • To create a framework for managing the district forward.

  • To foster the growth of the creative economy.​​​

KALDERRA was formed in the fall of 2025 by a small group of committed Healdsburg residents to facilitate the creation, designation and coordination of a California Arts Council Cultural Arts District in our community.
